There are two things that have been a constant if my life, cooking and books. From the first time I made Jiffy blueberry muffins in my grandmother's kitchen I was hooked.  I couldn't wait to see how they turned out or what thing she would let me make next.

As I got older, I would look over her The Good Housekeeping Cookbook: 1,039 Recipes from America's Favorite Test Kitchen for hours trying to find my next big creation.

My fascination with books led me to apply for a job with a major bookstore chain, where I was immediately taken with the cookbook section. There were so many books on food - so many more I had never seen! I dove into books like The Man Who Ate Everything by Jeffery Steingarten, and Kitchen Confidential Updated Ed: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, these books and many others like would eventually give me the courage to fulfill my dream of going to culinary school  and help me discover that I too want to write about food.

Stacie completed her Le Cordon Bleu culinary degree with an externship at Eat Something Sexy, where she is now products editor.
